Here are some dumb questions: Why is the “b” in “dumb” silent? Why does/can “dumb” mean “not intelligent” and also mean “unable to talk”? Is there a connection between “dumb” and “Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum”?

My “dumb question” is: Why does the word “inconceivable” exist? If you try to use the word to describe something, you’ve just “conceived” it!
