@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s impetousity lands him in hot water ,actually ice cold :o)which reminds of a time when my late sister Mary was over and I pushed her in the water forgetting that she can’t swim , luckily the water was only about four foot deep ,and I am a good swimmer, I guess you know what my avatar is, how was your day? our Finally Friday should be slightly busy but we should cope I hope , no shopping to do or errands to run , we both are in a good mood so we will stay inside because of the infernal head and keep hydrated till when I’ll have my fav nosh this evening, keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady , oh no it’s Friday the 13th :o)
When Stationed in England late 60’s I did the dip at Clacton on Sea just to say I did. Not much colder than the Pacific in Santa Barbara. Neither my particular cup of tea.

Ed. note: His avatar today is a B/W photo of his wedding standing as Bride & Groom.
In the 80s I used to vacation a lot in Myrtle Beach. On the drive from Montreal I’d stop at Hampton Beach and go for a quick refreshing dip in 60 degree water. Then my next stop was Virginia Beach and 70 degree water. I couldn’t wait to get to my destination and 80 degree water!
Oh yes, I remember that now that you’ve reminded me the reason why I preferred the swimming pool to the ocean at the beaches when my mother and I went there for one of our vacations – I even remembered the glaring sunlight when we had to wear our sunglasses at all times going out downtown alongside the afternoon tea hour & dinners!!
I remember going to the beach in Nashua New Hampshire in early summer and the water was so cold my feet got numb just stepping in it. There was a little boy, maybe 5 or 6, sitting in the surf happily splashing away. His lips were blue.
I’m sure if the water had been any deeper, you’d have jumped in and rescued her. It’s only the right and decent thing to do after all. But we all make mistakes. I know how much you loved your sister.
I had to go to the mini supermarket today as my Mum noticed I was running low on some of my favourite nosh which I am going to have tonight. Tuesdays and Fridays are my favourite nosh days. I don’t have any willpower like you to only have it once a week.
I received a message from an obvious scammer on Facebook who wanted me to be his “sugar baby” It said on his profile that he was in Frankfurt, Germany yet gave me an American phone number. His name is “Stevendye Owen” if anybody cares to search him up (i.e troll him) Haha.
Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal. And yes I do remember that beautiful wedding photo. Thank you for sharing. See you after the weekend.

Reminds me of people who are used to Florida going in in California. Their current comes from the Caribbean, ours from Alaska.

Lake Michigan off Chicago was always frigid, even in the summer. Scuba diving off the SE Florida coast was a luxury in nice warm water.

On a hot day, 78 °F water is still going to feel pretty, ah, brisk. At least until you get used to it.
