Good name dropping, Froggie. But he’s stretching the truth a bit. Guitar virtuoso James Burton first came up through the ranks as guitarist for Bob Luman. He was recruited from Luman’s band by rock and roll pioneer Rick Nelson. Burton worked with Nelson for about a decade, then went on to long associations with Elvis Presley and John Denver. His involvement with Johnny Cash was only a relatively brief collaboration. The fact that all of that is lost on Well I’ll Be does little to enhance what minimal people skills she has to begin with. Nonetheless, major bonus points to the strip’s vaunted artist for managing to invoke a plug for his own musical endeavors in the middle panel.
You really can’t trust the Fey light or dark. They made one feller to sleep for 20 years then someone wrote a story about it. He wasn’t looking for the signs the Fey leaves in their territories. “Dog Eat Doug” their house lives within a Dark Fey domain. (Which explains why monsters appear from time-to-time. Only the children and animals see them usually. They seem harmless just scary looking.)

He’d have done better with the Oak Ridge Boys, who had their biggest hit 40 years ago.

A frog once told me—“Kiss me and I’ll turn into a Prince”.
So I kissed him.And he turned into a jar of spaghetti sauce.
For the uninitiated,The Molehill Highlanders are a local band started by Joel&Rufus.
They sound like chalk screeching across a blackboard. On a good day.
