The Am. Dent. Assoc. is trying to get dental care kept out of the proposed increase in Medicare. And if they can’t keep it out altogether, they hope to have it means-tested such that only people with less than 3x the poverty level would be able to get it. Even 4x the poverty level is still too low to get meaningful care for someone living on Medicare.
And here we all thought dentistry was one of the “caring professions”.
