Geez, dude was kind of mean to Charlotte. She seemed real excited and the guy acted like a major buzzkill. A lot of the other kids are probably happy Charlotte is answering all of the questions.
Charlotte feels a bit crushed, which is understandable. But she needs to realized he’s found the camper who he’ll rely on to make sure the work gets done right.
I had to reread that before taking back my heart. Dude that was just rude. Not a lot of know proper lighting, be glad Charlotte does and that she’s happy about it.
It’s a tricky balance when someone like Charlotte is in a class. I have done some teaching and having one very eager student jump in all the time like that can make it difficult to reach the other students…so they don’t feel overshadowed and shutdown.
It’s a “can’t win” Charlotte. Answer quick and suppress others or hold back and look dumb. Teachers used to solve this by asking you to raise your hand and she would pick who should answer.

Awww. Flashback to me in school…I couldn’t help it if I knew the answer, and nobody else raised their hand

Hopefully she’s not the type to remind teacher to give them homework, once she’s back at school that is.

We don’t know how many other kids are there. The one we are shown, literally looks like a brown nose.

This remind me of Hermione and professor Snape from Harry Potter.
