I read the Washington Poft and Times-Herald Way Back When I was living much of the year in D.C., and in those days also the Star and even the Daily News, a pathetic little rag distributed freely in my residence hall (but with some good arts reviews)….
Luckily, some of those choices were not implemented, and were replaced with mostly better ones….

I’m pretty sure that that limited use of "s"s that looked like "f"s doesn’t follow the rules, not that I can I remember them.
