Nerwin is doomed to a career as a cartoon character.

Didn’t Mr. Wimple used to own a grocery store?

Haven’t seen old Wallace Wimple since Fibber McGee and Molly went off the air!

The answer is between 17 and the square root of one, so Nerwin is sort of ballparkish in his response!

I think that school needs a new principal.

Alas, that’s not so far from reality in many of today’s schools.

Maybe except for the teacher seeming to understand math… and care. Remember the Texas grade-school teacher who refused to teach math to her students, because she didn’t believe in it? She didn’t lose her job. (That was a few decades ago, but I think it’s still relevant.)

“I never understood math either”…except when it comes to figuring out his paycheck…

I consider myself fairly intelligent, but math escapes me completely. Always has, even in elementary school. Languages, on the other hand, are a snap. Can’t be good at everything.

Those who can not do, go into management.

If she’s the teacher and he doesn’t get it, who’s at fault?

That’s why he’s an administrator!

So incompetence is it’s on reward.

Isn’t his math incompetence the teacher’s fault?

That’s about right these days.

It’s clear that Wally has risen to the limits of his incompetence and is comforted by other ignoranti like Nerwin….
