We got a step counter in the mail from some senior oriented company. I attached it to my jeans so I could start increasing my walking and go over the 10,000 steps recommended. When I checked before bed – I had walked more than same just walking around in the house – and most of them going up and down the stairs. Did not bother with it again as figured when we went out it must be at least the same.

where there’s a will there’s’ a way. i use the pedometer app on my phone to keep track of my steps when i walk everyday.

My wife does that and I used to think it was meaningless but after hip replacement surgery is has given her a goal to return to normal.

If she’s wearing a fit bit, it will count arm movements as steps too, so dry more dishes!

My first pedometers would rest themselves every now and then. Didn’t help me get an idea of how far I was walking on an eight-hour shift…
