Is there anyplace where kids still carry lunch money? I’ve seen various meal account systems but have never seen a school that still has kids bringing in money each day (perhaps for this very reason).

So that’s their “New Year’s” celebration?

Wait until they find out their stimulus payments are done…

Funny how Jojo is faster to tell his cop dad about a boy scared of cops than he is to tell him about the bullies who regularly rob him.

I like the trio’s festive celebration, for the opening day of the new year’s business.

The smart student will keep tainted food in his lunch pail in case the bullies demand it. They can’t be beaten, but they can certainly be tricked.

Not sure about other school districts but here we have paypams a site parents use to put money on a card, so the students don’t carry cash they use the card to get their lunch. Sort of a "debit card” for lunch. lol But I guess the bullies in this strip’s school would just take everyone’s card instead, though they couldn’t use them anywhere else but at the school lunch counter.
