My wife was the “working” person in our marriage, I took care of a friend who had 2 strokes for 12 years and then my MIL with dementia moved into our house 5 years ago and I cared for her while My loving wife worked and then she took care of her and I went to my friends house to care for him. I took care of the housework while my wife was at work, we shared the “chores” and it worked for us. Sadly all 3 of them died this year, my wife was the only unexpected one and the one that hurts the worst we were married for 34 years and it wasn’t supposed to be like this.
Who the heck still wears stockings? I think even my 90-year-old mom has finally given up her nylon knee-highs, the last of such things, and it’s been a few decades since I’ve even seen stockings in a store.

And this was way back in 2005, look how far we’ve come in 16 years. Or is it rather, we’ve fallen?
