I delivered phone books in 1976. Our 1967 Mustang was loaded with them in the back seat. My foolish boyfriend drove the Mustang onto the beach and it sank into the sand! It was an interesting job.
I decided my son was finally old enough to watch the original Terminator movie. I didn’t have to explain to him that there are robot killing machines. But I was surprised that I had to explain to him what a phone book was.

There have been so many times when I wish we still got phone books.

A friend tells this story:

I consider phone books left on my porch to be litter. I didn’t ask for it.

Does anyone still publish them? When there was just one phone company, it was simpler.

Marty Mcfly wouldn’t have found Doc without one. Anyone else remember parts in films with this relic???

I think our local recycling centers had a restraining order put on DEX to have them stop printing them.
