Yes the Europeans brought new diseases, but not intentionally. And they did conquer the ruling people, who had ruled the area since the early 1300s, rather ruthlessly. The Europeans brought better weapons and made major alliances with tribes that the Aztecs had dominated for decades. People need to realize that is the way of the humans. The strong will eventually conquer the weak. As we can see, by the British Empire, no one stays on top forever. And the USA in presently in a state of decline, with China looking like the successor of top spot eventually.
