In a past life I worked as an engineer on a small electric plane project. Disposable batteries have a better power/weight ratio and we seriously discussed linking thousands together for a preliminary flight
Don’t send Igor to IKEA, then. They just discontinued selling their generally reliable AA and AAA batteries and replaced them with rechargeable-only ones that come with a – you guessed it- battery charger. At ten times the price of what the batteries alone cost. Ah, inflation…..
I’d love to see the design specs just for the battery compartment. And I wonder how big it has to be to accommodate that many AA batteries — that must be some giant robot!
