That reminds me, years and years ago, when I was a little girl, I said to my mother that I wanted to learn how to sew, she said: watch and learn. The first thing I learned was to cut stay threads at the end of the seams, then came the overcasting stitch (years before the serger was invented) so that the inner seams won’t fray…it was longer than a year before she let me use the sewing machine for straight sewing like making dish towels.
Same with Kat, she will do a lot of preparation and clean up, before she can touch or operate the tatooing needles…
