The human has the smallest understanding of his purpose and place. the hoofed, pawed and multi legged have always understood since their survival depends on it. The human also does a lot of assuming and self proclaiming, the rest do not.
Pig throwing Zebra under the bus. It was Pig who said that hippos kill the most humans. Zebra was just taking a few guesses. In a totally unrelated note, the brand Off! should use this strip as an advertisement.
Well the biters are ladies, and guys must be very very careful what they say to ladies or suffer the slings and arrows ranging from the-silent-treatment to jail time.
Yesterday’s strip was correct and this one is wrong. Mosquitoes don’t kill anyone – they just propagate the little bastard that does. They vector the single celled organism Plasmodium falciparum (in South America, Plasmodium vivax) into humans via their anti-coagulant saliva when they bite you. P. falciparum and vivax kill you by feeding on the globular protein subunits of the haemoglobin in your blood. Saying the mosquito kills people is like saying that someone who died of a heroin overdose stabbed himself to death with the syringe.
The Animal Kingdom (Animalia) consists of the following Phyla (plural of Phylum):
1) Porifera – Marine animals more commonly known as sponges.
2) Cnidaria – Mostly marine animals that include coral, jellyfish, and anemones.
3) Platyhelminthes – Typically parasitic flatworms (examples include tapeworms and flukes).
4) Annelida – Segmented and symmetrical worms containing a nervous system, respiratory system, and sense organs. Examples include the common earthworm and leeches.
5) Mollusca – Invertebrates with soft unsegmented bodies. Examples include clams, mussels, and snails.
6) Arthropoda – Invertebrate animals with an exoskeleton and segmented bodies. Contains insects, crustaceans, and arachnids. Examples include scorpions, butterflies, and shrimp.
7) Chordata – Vertebrates. Animals that develop a notochord, a cartilaginous skeletal rod that supports the body in embryo and can often become a spine. Examples include dogs, horses, birds, and humans.
All organisms in the kingdom Animalia are multicellular. They are eukaryotes (cells contain membrane-enclosed organelles. They lack the cell walls and starch-storing plastids found in plant cells. All have DNA enclosed in a nuclear membrane. The nucleus sets eukaryotes apart from prokaryotes. Prokaryotic cells contain DNA, but they lack a nucleus and other membrane-enclosed organelles. Animals are heterotrophic organisms (depend on external food sources for energy [carnivore, herbivore, omnivore).

I think I might have male-aria.

Technically, mosquitoes don’t kill people. They spread parasites, and the parasites kill people.

When a mosquito lands on your “private” parts is the moment when you realize that violence is not the answer

It isn’t a mosquito that kills most humans. It’s man.

No “he” mosquitoes have ever killed anyone. It’s the females that pass the pathogens and parasites.

The control of mosquitoes is relatively simple and well understood. But lack of resources and unstable governments prevent it from happening.

Still not true. Mosquitos kill indirectly, the bacteria and parasites they carry do the real killing. Hippos kill directly.
