A wise choice to use 2% milk. Full strength milk would be too heavy and cause the bowls to completely fall unmelted onto the ground, while the cereal would be totally soggy and formless. One percent milk would not be strong enough to cause the bowls to bend at all.
Way back when I was a kid, they called them sugar pops & sugar smacks ! —> Yes it was even printed that way on the boxes.And puffed wheat was “shot from guns” with a small cannon printed right on the box.
