Mom reads Heart's diary: Dear Diary, Today I found a dolls arm in the street. I picked it up cause I felt sorry for it but then I threw it away cause it weirded me out. Ak!! So today is Father's Day and as always I wonder what it would be like if my dad was here. How would he dress? What does he smell like? Not like cheap underarm deodorant I hope! Gross! Would we go to ball games? Would we be cheering fo rhte Phillies? Would he teach me about sawing wood and war movies and cars and mulch and things boys like? And if he was here would Mom spend more time with me and tell me about girlie things and stuff she doens't have time for now? I love my life with Mom, but every Father's Dai I always wonder.;..not so much about the dad I could've had but the me I would have been. Heart.

Wow! This says more about parenthood than any novel or text book ever could.

How do you misspell “private” that poorly? Bad parenting, Addy. Plus, reading your daughter’s privit diary? Anyway, I think you’re both pretty great as you are.
