Nuthatches eat upside down. They drive my cat nuts when she sees them on the feeder, she chirps like crazy! Not for the other birds, or squirrels, just nuthatches!
Cat claws do not rotate. To climb down a tree a cat needs to learn how to climb backwards, butt first. Only a few exceptional cats can master that art and Garfield is not one of them.

I mean at least they will have someone to have fun with while Garfield hangs there

Must be a very sturdy branch to hold Garfield’s weight…

Garfield could be not that high up off the ground. In one strip, Garfield and Jon fell or jumped only a few feet to the ground.

Real estate must be booming. Even the trees are selling like hot cakes.

There are multiple ways to get a Garfield out of a tree. The most effective, however, is by sawing the branch off.

So telling the cat that a family of birds is due to show up should somehow give him motivation to leave? Doesn’t know cats very well, does he?
Garfild about 3 years ago
Well…. He has a family…. You can’t argue with that
