I remember that term being used quite often, but by my grandparents’ generation (born around the turn of the 19th – 20th Centuries). As a little did I couldn’t imagine what it meant or where the term came from.
So does this mean that the King (the Fink) is more enlightened that we may have thought? Actually it’s probably more like “Don’t say that, it will make us look bad!” rather than taking any social responsibility (my observation is that this is usually the case).
