This reminds me of a time when I went to a Thai restaurant with some coworkers and one of them could not handle spices in almost any capacity. She ordered the most basic thing on the menu (veggie rolls and rice if I recall) but asked the waitress if they had any ranch dressing. To my utter shock, the waitress said yes and proceeded to bring out a small bowl of ranch. I guess this restaurant knew from experience what state they were operating in (NC).

Could be worse. It could be a 20-year-open bottle of nuoc mam.

HMM, after 20 years it would be either dried & gone or critter eaten and gone.

I often ate Vietnamese food in 66-67, don’t recall any with Mayo as a ingredient.

I hate mayonnaise when it’s fresh. Imagine twenty years on…. It is no longer mayo… It’s alive!
