I was at a men’s group meeting and a man wanted some sugar for his coffee. Another guy said “just let me swirl my pinkie in it for a minute and it will sweeten right up”. He declined. Personally, I like a little coffee with my sugar. Had to switch to sweet-n-low to get off some pounds.
Years ago my doctor advised against sugar as it contributed to arthritis pain. Recently, while experiencing a lot of arthritis pain, I decided to put his advice to the test. After several weeks I’m starting to believe him. Pain is lessening. But avoiding sugar is so hard. For me, it’s one of the major food groups – sugar, salt and fat.
A diabetes joke. And, I’m a diabetic so I can tell this joke and not feel offended. Two women were having a cup of coffee. One of them kept putting in Equal into her cup. Her friend said to her, What’s the matter? Are you trying to get artificial diabetes? ;o)

Does Mother Gargoyle use a teaspoon, a tablespoon or a snow shovel to add sugar to her coffee???

You’d think with that much sugar she might be a little bit sweeter, but it’s obviously not happening.

In other words, there’s more sugar in her cup than coffee.;-D

This crunching on sugar reference got me to thinking where the expression, one lump or two, originated.

“Why don’t you stir it?” “Oh no, then it’d be way too sweet!”

All these years I understood that sugar was a sweetener. It ain’t workin’ on Mother Gargle.

Some people are sweet enough that they do not need to add additional sugar. Whereas, Mother Gargle . . . .

Her hair sticks out in all 4 directions. How does she sleep? Hanging from the ceiling by her claws?

In the Middle East, it was common for a person to drink very bitter Turkish coffee through a sugar cube.
