Around 2010 a seemingly normal coworker I slightly knew told me how he’d just seen some Flat Earth theory videos from some guy. He said to me that, “he makes some good points.” I was confused and silent as I slightly nodded & walked on. I wondered, "what were these “good points,” there are are no good points." I thought nothing further of it and forgot about it for 4-5 years then it was everywhere.
When I was a kid we used to make fun of people from hundreds of years ago who believed this and they didn’t even have the benefit if literal video evidence from low orbit like we do now. I am mystified by this mental disorder and its cause.
Well, technically, if all three sat in triangular positions, she wouldn’t have been totally wrong… Except for her use of the word in respect to discussion, of course. :-)

…and with that, the schisms begin.
(Meanwhile back in Blefuscu, observers are puzzled by the mysterious appearance of hundreds of eggs, all opened at the wrong end.)

I once worked for a new MBA boss, and when we discussed some problem, she thought we should seek a third opinion so that we could “triangulate”.

C’mon dude! It’s really a cone. Those fools are only seeing it as flat.

In n-dimensional space, it should be possible to find a “flat Earth”. Go there.
