am i just imagining or i have already read this strip before?? actually i did… does that mean c&h is reprinting its old comics?? that’s bad……… baaaaaaaaaaaaaadddddddddd…..

Makes you wonder exactly what Calvin did to the car, when he did it, and how he did it, such that the family car can only be referred to in the past tense, doesn’t it?

That’s only for Jodie’s Foster children, dog.

There’s runaway from home and then there’s get out of dodge before the sheriff comes back. The latter applies.

Call Danae and she’ll hot wire the car for you. If the two of you can fin d it, that is.

If this is the beginning of the arc that I remember, it leads to one of the most touching panels in this strip’s history.

I’m afraid the story of what happened to the car is locked away along with the “noodle incident”.

Hypothetically Calvin, now you’ve done it!

I love how a “recycled” strip gets 31 comments and counting. This pair was SO loved by me and my kids and now they can tune in again and call Dad and say, “You remember…” Careful, though, the nostalgia may ruin it for newbies enjoying our favorite brat for the first time.

Seems that Watterson wasn’t too concerned with continuity early on. There was later a whole arc in which Calvin damaged the car, and he acted like it was the first time.

I can understand more than one language ,but I often think knowing something about Mexico and its people,would be wise for guys like Calvin and myself.

Yeah, why do we have all these OLD Calvins on here? They need to start running the new ones.

Dave Whamond drew the six “Reality Check” strips for this week as a tribute to Bill Watterson, because Bill’s 53rd birthday was on Tuesday. Whamond considers Watterson to be his favorite artist.

Hobbes isn’t, Tigger. Calvin isn’t speaking (hypothetically) to Hobbes, but to a Hispanic woman he thinks he’ll likely meet first in his exile.

I’ve been reading it for about a year now. It was one of the strips that came over from comics.com

I read a lot of other strips, but generally this is the only one where I take the time to read the comments. B.C. used to be one of my favorites, but it lost a lot of its wit when Johnny Hart died in 2007. Nevertheless, it does still have its moments. I did make a rare appearance on Peanuts for awhile when it first came over to GoComics, mainly discussing exciting topics like problems with resolution of zoomed images and pixel counts.

You can run, but you can’t hide. Even the Unabomber was turned in by a member of his own family. Hobbes might get tired of being perpetually on the lam and do that to Calvin…

Now that I’m thinking about it, my father would have killed me if he had known how I drove the family cars during my teen-age years….
