A lot of students don’t need to imagine what could go wrong in school.

A friend in need is a pest….

Sorry Hobbes but sometimes you can be a real jerk.

Calvin, if you spent less time complaining you could have caught Hobbes in the act.

I think it is even worse waiting all that time for the school bus and some smart aleck comes along saying this is Saturday morning!

Every day that I drive my daughter to school we pass many students waiting for the bus. Now I wonder if they have thoughts like these.

I don’t see the lunchbox drawn in any of the panels.

I love the pensive sipping! “Hmm I wonder what Calvin is prattling on about…”

Calvin is always disgusted by his lunch anyway.

Calvin’s lunch just became Hobbes’s breakfast!

Yep, it’s going to be “one of those days”.

On the plus side, Hobbes probably left the healthy stuff, like apples slices or raisins or something.

Calvin and Hobbes fans sometimes debate on whether Hobbes walks home when Calvin catches the bus or whether Mom comes and takes Hobbes home. Today’s strip seems to show Hobbes walking away from Calvin as the bus is coming.

Isn’t it “Morrisett ironic” that he gets hungry AFTER watching his furry friend eat his lunch right in front of his face?

Must be a Monday.

It would be good to see Calvin realizing Hobbes has eaten his lunch while he’s sitting next to Susie and explaining what must have happened to her. Once again, she’d feel he was weird.

Worrying about the wrong things

If you paid attention in school, you’d have the skills to notice these things.

Hobbes makes the best use of the wait.

The worst part is waiting for the bus? How about walking instead. I walked a good half mile 4 times a day in grade school. Well over a mile once a day in high school. Never did live where school buses were a thing.

Calvin’s lesson today, even before he gets to school, is “Taxation”.
