Having started at 9 with typewriters and then taking a computer class in HS Iearned very quickly the differences and I typed 65 to 70 wpm so was fast and accurate. I got a A+ in the class.
He needs to use one of those online storage accounts like Dropbox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive, or even a NAS (Network Accessible Storage) drive. Sorry, the techie in me is coming out. :-)

I always download my vital data and important documents on dongles and do an external backup on one, at least once a year, just in case.

Autosave is a wonderful thing. My image file always had it turned on for every 3 minutes for every computer the dept had.
