That was a heck of a kick by Tucker, 66 yards. Technically the refs let the Ravens get away with a delay of game right before the kick but knowing the Lions luck, the Ravens would have completed a Hail Mary, or got a PI flag or offsides flag to go their way on the next play for the win via a TD or FG anyhow.
On the positive side for the Lions, since the Jags won over the Fins, they now have a one game lead in the win column over the Jags, Fins, Houston and the 2 NY teams for the numero uno draft pick. Any of these teams are capable of running the gauntlet and winning this race to the top of the draft order and all of them excepts for the Jags and Jets might be looking for that elusive franchise QB next year.
I just watched it on youtube. If you missed the game, its certainly worth a look https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m9g2NZuOSnI.
“Unbelievable, that did not just happen!” were the commentator’s words for the Hail Mary that got them out of the shadow of their own goal post, to set up the field goal. And If you’re going to set a field goal record, why not do it in the last 3 seconds for a come-from-behind win?
Field goals are measured from the spot of the kick to the back line of the end zone, which the crossbar of the goal posts is over. Tucker’s kick went exactly 66 yards.

I’m telling you, this sports goblin stuff would be great in short form animation.

Technically ANY longest field goal in history would have “gotten past” him or it wouldn’t have been a field goal.

It’s been done hundreds of times. No big deal.
