I have wondered. There are plenty of them. I like many of them. I’ll eat them in they’re in front of me. Why don’t I want them?

It’s all in how they are prepared. Or hidden.

They subjected themselves to English and American “cooking,” thereby rendering them flavorless and giving them the texture and consistency of gruel.

Hey Greg, did your colorist give the broccoli on the fork eye dots to look back at larry?

    You are what you eat

Does that mean eating too many vegetables will leave you in a vegetative state?

    I’m not taking any chances

Why is he sticking his fork up his nose? Is there something in there more appealing than vegetables?

Just smother than in cheese or garlic sauce, or both.

Alone they taste bad or at best blah. Have to dress them up with ingredients to make them taste good. A good steak just needs to be cooked and maybe add a little salt…..

Yes, why can’t they taste as good as ice cream, or blueberry pie?

Jabbing yourself with a fork won’t help.

I’m convinced that it was an undocumented part of the Curse laid upon mankind in the Garden of Eden: God decreed that the worse things tasted, the better they would be for us, and vice-versa.

Feeling a sudden need to make pumpkin pie. I should probably squash that idea for now.

In some cases the sheer, unadulterated disgusting taste. And don’t talk about how wonderful they taste when you add this, that and the other when all brought are doing is hiding or diminishing the taste with other flavours
