Not entirely true. Maybe 1970-71. The Magnavox Odyssey came out in 1972. The Atari 2600 came out in 1977.

But back in the 70’s we had no social media or cable news. On second thought the 70’s suddenly looks really good again. Bring back Disco and bell bottoms

But they did have leisure suits and platform boots. Disco. ….The horror. The horror ….

Sure as heck didn’t have as much information back then. And we got along just fine without it.

I forget, were BOOM boxes ’70s or later?

We didn’t have “online comics” in the 1970s, not in their current form at least. We did have “online”, though, and jokes were passed around.

The portable transistor radio was the state of the art in the 60s enabling us to enjoy AM radio on the go. We could only marvel over the wrist radio featured in the comic strip Dick Tracy then later the handheld communicators on Star Trek which foretold the development of the smart phone.

Video games started in the 70s.

I played my first video game in 1975.

Rechargeable meant NiCd which didn’t last as long as alkalines and died in a year.
