One of our senior VPs left the company with a memory stick full of sensitive data and our CEO had IT disable all memory sticks without warning. It brought some of us to a screeching halt because our procedures require us to store sensitive data on a memory stick and not keep it on the network. I couldn’t work on my $6 million upgrade project because I have to use a memory stick to transfer data that the vendor sends me via the network to an air-gapped server.
…and that is how you reach a full participatory consensus so that the CEO can tell his audience that he listens to his people and is open to all feedback and criticisms.
Unless you are a Meta Z who solves problems by making a name change and says that the media is targeting the company..
