This reminds me of a Calvin strip (Sunday comic) where he wants to know what disgusting thing is for dinner. His mom tells him “stewed monkey heads.” This intrigues him and gets him to the table, only for “dad” to refuse to touch it because he doesn’t know what it really is (stuffed peppers). :P
Large batches require a good tomato based sauce like marinara, with or without meatballs. But a small, 4 – 6, dinner party can really make it go with a good pesto.
I get a real kick out of sparking the discussions here. The “name” of the food was a bit of misdirection today. Sometimes I worry that you guys aren’t even reading all the way to the punchline, and allowing me to send you off in crazy directions.

I admit it. I fell for it. I had to look. This is what Google returned:

There’s nothing like my old mom’s homemade fosquangula. You can ask anybody from there.

My wife served her son tuna salad. “I don’t like tuna salad.”
“This is cold tuna salad, you don’t like the hot tuna.” “Oh.” Until it was time serve tuna hotdish…“This is tuna hotdish, you don’t like the cold.”
He gobbled both just the same.

Might just be a pet name for a dish she created. My Dad used make a stew that he called Goopie. It actually tasted better than it sounded.

Unless you vote for Republican vulture capitalists, the Democrats will force your children to learn fosquangula curriculum in school!

So if fosquangula was real, what would it be? It seems to involve a saucepan, a measuring cup, & more than one knife on the chopping board.
