Black Friday through Christmas eve was “Soup Season” growing up. My oldest brother came home from school one day and asked what was for supper. Mom’s reply, “soup”. His reply, “Can we have some real food for supper?” Next night we had real food. lol. I hated soup for many years. Now I like my homemade.
