I heard a great line on a BBC radio show “The Reluctant Persuaders”. In the process of inviting a dowdy woman staff member to fancy gala, he tells her:
“Go home. Put on your best dress and go out and buy a really good dress.”
Fancy and Schmancy? Maybe a French restaurant? La Maison de Presque Rien à Manger Pour Tout Votre Argent? (Just stop off for a burger on the way home because 3 hours and $300 later you’ll still be hungry when you leave).

And what could be fancier than caffeinated mayo? (Gotta use the stuff up before it goes bad.)

Fancy and Schmancy?! Wow! That sounds like no place I’ve ever been. (Well, maybe the Marine Corps Birthday at the Staff NCO club once.)
