I saw a documentary on the making of the Universal monster movies of the 1920s and it postulated that the movies were so popular then because of the advances in medical care that the soldiers of the Great War (World War One) received that allowed them to return home, when they would have been buried on the battlefield in previous wars. The disfiguring injuries the civilians on the home front saw in the veterans for the first time created a psychological disturbance that monster movies allowed the audience to assuage.
My take is Bipolar Bear didn’t actually say anything, he was just thinking the question, so if you want to be noticed you have to speak up to be noticed.

The classic old-time movie monsters (mostly from Universal) were and are iconic.
Sadly, Bipolar Bear seems invisible to Merlin and Thor….
