Wow, great job Jimmy. In the middle of Arlo’s organ recital he presses his chest, with his left arm no less, and Janis’ alarm goes off.

    “Do what?!”

“Oh, that. Just a little indigestion from your cooking.”

    And Janis clobbers him.

Glad she’s paying attention even if it wasn’t necessary.

Since my heart attack and triple bypass my wife is very alert to things like this.

This could be as serious as a heart attack

My now retired Surgical Nurse of 44 years is still going strong. If I get the sniffles she’s got a recommended surgery.

Thanks. Like Arlo, I was trying to figure out what was up with Janis.

The aches and pains of an aging body come with being mortal. I remember my mom reacting when Dad would press his chest in the area of his heart.

My wife responds a bit differently when my face freezes and I sit stock still during dinner. When she looks at me I make a squeezing motion with my fist below my neck and she knows it is an esophageal spasm. Then she applies the prescribed treatment: “I keep telling you to drink water between bites!” First aid ain’t pretty.

I can’t help but be concerned when my bride makes actions like that. The thought of her not being around absolutely terrifies me.

He’s beyond repair. Spend your time on the ones who still have a chance.

    Triage:

    1. Hopeless, don’t bother to do other than comfort.

    2. Needs help but can wait, monitor for a change for the worse, though.

    3. Needs immediate help to hope to survive. Give this one your attention.

Or it could just be heartburn….

I have issues at times if I eat too fast where it gets stuck like right at the end of the esophagus and hurts like H-LL till I can get it to go on down. Often happens also with some larger pills.

My bp flew up this afternoon to 212/101 after being 125/79this morning. Doctors dont understand bp meds dont help…they are spikes. Ive been to UVA , Duke and everywhere in between. Wish I had something normal. The last 5 years have been a pain.
