We rode bikes without helmets, played on monkey-bars set in cement, climbed trees, played teeter-totter, caught frogs, snake, and pollywogs in ponds and streams, stayed out until the street lights came on, had the occasional bump, bruise, cut, or scrape that Mom painted with Mercurochrome…and yet…WE LIVED!
Outside where they’re re-taring street? Or you could follow the toxic cloud from the mosquito spraying truck a few blocks on your bikes. ‘Better living through chemistry’.
