I get the same feeling when I watch the Progressive Insurance commercials with the life coach who is trying to help young homeowners who are starting to act like their parents. A lot of those actions he criticizes are very familiar to me.
True story: Some years ago (prior to 2013) there was a Pluggers comic that mentioned blood pressure medicines. It so happened that strip mentioned the exact meds that I took at the time.
