The first time I took my grandson sledding, he started complaining about his feet hurting. He was wearing cowboy boots and snow had gotten into them and got his socks wet. He got a couple of blisters from it.
Unfortunately, if the images presented on TV and the queries to advice columnists are anything like the truth, too many children are being raised with, if not exactly this, an equivalent level of unrealistic expectations of their place in reality.
