@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , after 30 years the couple visiting their old town find out that it’s still frightful , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is still trying to scrounge money for booze :o) my avatar is a picture of a turtle that unlike dogs or rabbits who are active but live short lives , by doing nothing it lives for more than a hundred years, how was your day? our Finally Friday should be slightly busy but we will cope I hope, we both are in a good mood no shopping or errands to run , just stay in the house because it’s cold outside and keep hydrated and you know the rest , keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady
This fall I visited my old hometown I grew up in for the first time since I graduated from high school, which was close to 50 years ago. I stopped in my old barbershop to get a haircut because I knew a fellow I went to school with had taken over the shop from his dad. When I walked through the door, he looked up, and without missing a beat, said “Hi Bill!” as if he just saw me yesterday in Civics class. I was floored.
You can’t truly go back to a place you once lived because so much will have changed since you left that it is not the same place anymore. But then there is ANDY CAPP with his PAW out. Home sweet home Freddie Foster.
I had my fair share of exercise today. I arrived at the bar to wait for my friend and I realised I had left my phone at home. And yes, I do need my phone with me. So I asked the manager if he wouldn’t mind letting my friend know when he arrived that I had gone home to get my phone. Luckily I don’t live too far away so I could walk. But it was still a lot of walking compared to what I usually do.
My friend was a little late himself so didn’t end up waiting very long for me.
We exchanged Christmas presents and said our goodbyes until the New Year. A wonderful day it was.
Enjoy your favourite nosh today, pal. I can’t wait for mine. I’ve built up an appetite with all that walking and fresh air. Haha.
Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. See you after the weekend.

Andy made a Beer/Ale commercial. I would be willing to bet that he asked to be paid with Ale.

I have lived in the same town all my life. And I’ve only lived at 2 addresses in my lifetime as well.
I feel a bit behind compared to some people. But life is not a competition.

No wonder he left.

Andy has:
1) Borrowed money from Freddie before and is hoping to do so again or
2) Forgotten that he still owes Freddie money or
3) Hopes Freddie will buy him a drink “for old times’ sake.”
