If they really wanted to celebrate the golden anniversary of Disney World, a retro price of the original ticket offered for annual passes for Florida residents would go a long way for their image.
When you have more customers than you can accommodate, why lower your prices? The people complaining about the high prices also complain about not being able to get in on busy days.
They have re-imagined them every year or so, but always higher, Imagine the bonuses the gig-wigs get because of it. Now how many peons should we fire this time or should we just cut their wages again or their hours or both.

Paying hundreds of dollars to stand in line isn’t my idea of fun. Disneyland years ago was pretty cool.
