I bought my nephew a small LEGO thing for $12. They don’t come with instrucions anymore, you have to look them up online. I don’t know if he has internet access these days, so I printed them out for him. Cost me another $62. I’m still feeling a little sick about that….

My mother gauged how much we loved her and how much love she would give us based on the amount of money spent on gifts to her. Even in middle and high school. I stopped giving her anything when I went away to university.

I remember begging my Mom for money so I could buy her something she really didn’t need. Whatever it was she always loved it.

What i’ve suddenly been wondering is who pays Santa’s salary? And how can he afford to pay his elves?
