I unpacked my red dishes today. Johnson Bros. English Castles…and just why do I have service for 24? I forgot why I thought that was a good idea! I dont even know 24 people here.

Queen: I’m watching the local news, they are showing the crowds at Cowboy Christmas. Looks like fun, no wonder you guys always went!

I wonder if they got the phone lines working yet?

National Special Education Day

National Mutt Day

National Fritters Day. Well, it is my day off, so I’ll try not to “fritter” it away (I know, that’s not the kind of fritters they’re talking about). I didn’t get my Christmas lights hung on my last 2 days off. Thursday it was kind of cold and Monday, I had a cold and couldn’t motivate myself to do much of anything. But it’s supposed to be a warm day today, so I need to make myself put up some lights. My cold is mostly gone now. Just a little leftover congestion and an occasional coughing fit.

At least they have an audience! The dogs and I had a beautiful hike just outside Yosemite yesterday around several partially frozen ponds. Plenty of bear, bobcat and coyote prints in the patchy snow but no sightings. And no people! 37 with a bright blue sky and no wind – I took off my heavy jacket! I hate passing it by on the way back home but a car full of Trader Joes shopping would be a sitting duck for the bears who are still out and about.

I wonder if people would pay to see a cat fight…

This might make a good series.

The cardboard gingerbread house for the cats arrived yesterday. Tabs A did NOT fit easily into slots B. Once I got them in, I taped them all down with packing tape in side. Did the same for the roof. Put in front of the fireplace and Blackjack went right in. He was back later last night. Once the fire was gone, so was he.The cats like crinkly paper that comes in big boxes so I got them a sleep sack with a crinkly bottom. Do they like it?No, they do not. I’m going to send it to my friend whose cat, Emma, loves crinkly things.

That quilt I made for a toddler? One of the friends I went to see in SD last week wants to buy it for her 4 yr old nephew who loves big construction machines. I told her NO, she could NOT buy it but I would send it to her. To get it to Iowa faster (rather than sending it to SD then her sending it to IA) I’m going to wrap it up and send it to the little boy today. She sent me a picture of him on his big traffic/construction vehicles play rug with his John Deere toys.

Aw, the old vaudeville time-filling patter bit.

The phones may not work butt our brilliant cat performers just need signs for flashing on the TV monitors requesting the viewers send their donations to the warehouse address c/o someone reliably honest (not Chesney or Jack).
