It would seem to me Descartes got it backwards. Wouldn’t it make more sense to say “I am, therefore I think”? Now I have to look up the meaning of the original quote.
René Descartes’ horse walks into a bar he’s been frequenting for some time. The bartender asks him if he isn’t showing signs of alcoholism, since he’s been visiting the bar so often. The horse replies, “I don’t think I am.” And POOF! The horse disappears! If you don’t get it, Google “Cogito, ergo sum.”I’d have explained it beforehand, but that would be putting Descartes before the horse.
Before approximately the time of the Vikings, human beings did not greatly question the hard reality of the universe they perceived. Which means you can’t put Descartes before the Norse.

Fortunately, philosophy is not strong with this one, and the logic of non-existence will fade into the reality of the Enchanted Forest!

If Descartes was an alcoholic, would he have said ‘I drink therefor I am’? (See ‘The Philosopher’s Song’ by Monty Python)
