Not to pick, but you programme in a computer language (BASIC and Fortran in my day) then the compiler turns it into binary the computer can understand.
She is coding in Binary!? Wow, that’s real old school. I used to have to use switches to key in octal programing one word(1777717777) and a parity bit at a time to a magnetic drum. Those were the days and we still won the cold war.
I’m old enough to remember coders in the binary coding days and found some of the answers to the former question fascinating. Thanks everyone. Never too old to learn something new even if it seems insignificant.
Oh ffs all this geeksplaining is worse than mansplaining.I didn’t ask what most people answered about what coding is. I asked what it said. (In other words, was there an inside joke only coders would get?) The answer, garbage, was fine. And all who wandered down memory lane about their experiences, that was pleasant to read.

Back in my day you had to bite the head off a bat to earn the title of “geek”.

I’m eagerly awaiting the strip where Mike’s ex and her idiot paramour first meet Kim.
I’ve remembered it all these years; man, were those two ever jealous!!

Coding in binary…?

There are 10 kinds of people who understand binary.
Those who do and those who don’t.

That’s a lower level than assembler. Nobody has coded like that since the ’40s.
