The phrase “no offense” tends to indicate that one knows what one is about to say will be insulting, but will say it anyway with the hope that starting the statement with “no offense” will exonerate oneself from any consequences.

As soon as I get a chance, I will post my Big Nate Quiz I wrote. Only Big Nate fans who have read most of the strips will get them all right.

I feel Nate won’t actually go with it. I mean, he’ll probably just gulp and then go sit right back down. Here’s my own guess for what happens: Nate might risk it. And Gina might come along to see him get in trouble. When Nate tells her, she might be happy that she knows so she can fix it. Meanwhile, Gina is just gonna sputter in shock that Nate did not get in trouble. Mrs. Godfrey, realizing Gina would get satisfied by that, gives her detention.

On a roll was my first Big nate book, and each one has this amazing theme even though the follow the same “big sports event/contest at the end.” and even though I thought the tv show looked ugly at first, they fixed it to look amazing.
