    In what vernacular does “take a knee” mean “to worship”? “Bow our knees,” “Let us kneel,” I’ve heard. Never “take a knee,” in that context.

    Growing up in a catholic grade school meant kneeling a lot. Church was another place were we knelt a lot. As a cement fisher in my youth meant my knees were shot in my 30’s.

    Take a knee, in the newest sense, is a ridiculous phrase.The thought behind it is good except where people feel forced to participate and protest against something they didn’t have anything to do with.Which is usually how the lefties and the professionally offended act
