And we never saw the book club. Was the spell lifted so Marigold could actually participate in the book club? Otherwise what would be the point of her going to the club?
Kinda have to side with Marigold at least a little here—enduring that I’m sure wasn’t pleasant for her and I think she’s earned a little praise for putting up with it, so at least throw her a bone for that much, Florence.
Is it me or is Marigold getting more self centered and meaner? The strip seems to be losing some of the fun and humor with all of these Marigold centered story lines. Lets see some of the other characters more – or even just more Phoebe: it’s her name on the comic, after all.

Selective fatalism. One of those concepts that isn’t intrinsically bad, but becomes a problem because people do it wrong.

It’s good to ask for what you want. Clears up any little glitches.

I still don’t see the point of the whole thing. As she says, Marigold had no choice.

So Florence’s point was just to make Marigold suffer? Classic sibling behavior!

She still agreed to it, Florence, so shut your carrot hole.

That’s kind of your fault there Florence. You didn’t really give her an choice in the matter.

A better spell would be one that lets Florence know that Marigold has talked and thus lost the bet, then one that forces Marigold not to talk.

Should have made her go a week without COMMUNICATING in any manner. No way she could do that, spell or no spell.

I’m beginning to think Florence is a lot like Leonard’s mom from The Big Bang Theory… :/
