You still have to clean up all of the needles. Next Chrismas put a tarp under the tree. After Christmas, remove the skirt and bring up the tarp around the trees. Much easier to clean up.

Then it will look like a pole, so you can celebrate Festivus instead!

No matter which way you go out, you will still have to vacuum, so take the easy way out. It will save you time.

Use a live tree in a planter – when finished, take it out and plant it (or keep alive until spring then plant)… looks good, smells nice and no mess to clean up…

Get the shop-vac and vacuum the branches before you move it.

Back when we had a cut tree, we used a Christmas Tree bag. Basically a 6 or 7 foot long garbage bag. Put it under the stand when the tree went up. When it was time to take the tree down, I’d lift it out of the stand and Mom would move the stand out of the way. Pull the bag up over the tree and out the door. Still needles, but not as many. Now it’s just me it’s a fake tree. Still sheds a bit though.
