I don’t understand why anyone would be a telemarketer. I’ve done it before and it is so SOUL CRUSHING!

Funny how people being underpaid, not being respected, and doing really hard work and who are folks that often not only were getting yelled at but also laid off actually had the nerve to fid better paying, more rewarding work instead of continuing to go back to the same old abuse and BS. Whatever the heck is up with all that? Ya mean they didn’t think first of the wretched folks they worked for, the often horrible conditions and long hours, and the CEO? How dare they put their families and themselves before all of that, right? Hrrruummmph and Bah Humbug!

Ok, then don’t drive truck – or take your wife with you, although I would suggest you just change careers.

I have taken the step of disabling my voice mail, so no more robotrash. My wife knows to text me, if I miss a call. Yeah, there are robotexts, but they are much easier to delete than voicemail.

Telemarketers can physically isolate at work or work from home.

That’s because all the Robo calls and subsequent conversations are AI and not real people. No wages, no benefits; I mean what more could a Telemarketing company want besides the 100% profit.

They’re not all bad; what about the twenty “complimentary” 3-night stays I have won “at random” at Hilton resorts? And it’s almost time for another round of calls from the “Publishers Clearing House Lottery Department.” (No, I never followed through with those hotel ones, and when the lottery one got to the “We need your bank account information so we can deposit the money,” I just gave them a fake number.)

About 1/4 of truck drivers in the US are foreign born. It is like the UK, when they left the EU they lost a majority of their teamsters. Working as a telemarketer is a job of last resort, often filed by disabled workers. They are low paid and often have quotas to keep their jobs.

The majority of these calls are computerized, they work cheap, dont go to the potty,or lunch, or call in sick, or complain around the water cooler, and are so damned good at annoying people!!!!!
