Gettin’ kinda tired & bored with the “Plugger Pin-Cushion”-routine here lately. Yeah, most of us come here to “celebrate” our imperfections, rather than let someone lambast us with THEIR-own imaginations of grandeur-perfection.
So, how’s about run or two ’bout the “soon-to-be equals to us in avoirdupois-challenged”-millenials, or even younger, as they are going to be our-future?
Mad? Disgruntled?? Yes, at-MYSELF, for the shape I’ve become! During the 60’s/early-70’s, I was USDA-Prime Beef, buddy!
But I didn’t return to society as “cleanly” as I’d hoped, and got dissed by(some, but far from all)of the very-folks whom I was raised around. If not for meeting an-understanding young lady to whom I still will defend with my-life? I’d been found face-down, in that-gutter where NO-race, creed, color, or, MONEY, ever-existed nor likely ever will. Sometimes, one-needs only the care/compassion, regardless of your choice of life-partner, be it male, female…I dunno, whatever provides the spark to light that fire…that gets your butt-outta that gutter we speak of! As that young-man of the 60’s/70’s, I could kill you with one short thrust.
But now as that old, worn machine of today? I could also lose the battle,m with that-accidental, careless, “never gonna happen to me”-final fall on a dark-icy/muddy cold night. Be you obese or “normal”, whatever that is? Old worn hips, joints, bodies-in-general, still-break and not a thing you can say or do about it!!!……………………………………………………………………………………………….WHEW! A-MEN! And, a final-farewell to a young-lady by the name of Betty White, today. Dang it, she missed the Century mark by a few-literal days.
I’ll stop now. Danged-mind tends to remember too-much of one, an’ not ’nuff the other…
Best way to lose weight seems to be – stay at home during a pandemic and cut the food one and one’s spouse eats by 1/3 to 1/2 so one does not run out and need to go out shopping.
Each lost over 15 lbs during same – of course when could shop again (and stores had food again) it all came back. So back to high school weight now and the 84 lbs I lost sometime before the pandemic.

Many, many years ago I made a resolution to never make resolutions. It took me a year to succeed at it and have been successful ever since.

I think the kangaroo lady is the only non-obese Plugger in this strip.

Also, “Happy New Year” means something different to a Plugger than to a young’un. (Maybe the last one?)

I’m three pounds less than I was at the end of 2020, so I’m taking that as a win.
