I know someone at work that when his email inbox gets too full, he deletes all the unread ones. He says, “If it’s important, they either send it again or send a nag email”. Interesting concept. I just can’t bring myself to do that when that happens to me :)

That’s a good way to prioritize. Only move to the “action” box after a repeated request. Works when the job is overwhelming.

When the IN pile gets too high you simply place everything in the OUT basket. It will buy you a few days while the mailroom sorts things out.
